The Eagle and the Arrow
the jist of the story was that the eagle was hit with an arrow made from eagle feathers and the moral was: We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction.
The Ass's Brains
this story is about a lion and a fox making a meeting with a donkey. the lion kills the donkey and tells the fox not to touch any of the kill. the fox eats the brains and when the lion finds out he asks the fox did he eat the brains. the fox replies with of course not my dear lion as if the lion did have any brains he wouldnt've agreed to meet you.
the moral was wit always has an answer.
belling-the-cat
the story to this one was that mice were gathering to think of a way to avoid the cat, and the idea was to tie a scented ribbon to the cats collar. but none of the mice were willing to tie the ribbon onto the cat. It ends on one of the elder mice saying
